There will be a Floris Fireman's Fundraising Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, June 2 from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.  All proceeds benefit the Floris Fire Department.  Free will donation.  Serving pancakes, sausage, sponsored by the Floris Baptist Church.  Breakfast will take place in the Floris Community Hall.

Blakesburg Historical Preservation Society is holding a bake sale fund raiser 8 a.m. - 12 noon, Saturday June 2 at the Museum in Blakesburg. Funds raised will be used to fund the 4th annual Audrey Chisman Scholarship. Randie Richmond of Blakesburg, a senior at Eddyville Blakesburg Fremont Highschool was recipient of the third annual scholarship.

A free fishing clinic will be conducted at Lake Wapello State Park on June 2nd from 9:00am to 11:00am in the campground. A magnetic fishing game will be available for the very young, a casting target training class will be presented, as well as fly casting instructions and practice.  Everyone is welcome.
