We’re excited to officially launch a brand-new project in support of shopping small across Southern Iowa—Wander & Find: Your Year-Round Guide to Southern Iowa’s Vintage Finds!

This beautifully designed, printed map will highlight antique shops, vintage destinations, and handmade havens across 10 Southern Iowa counties: Appanoose, Davis, Wayne, Monroe, Wapello, Van Buren, Lucas, Jefferson, Keokuk, and Mahaska.

The goal? Extend the magic of Southern Iowa Junk Journey beyond just two weekends a year and encourage locals and visitors to explore and support our region’s unique small businesses all year long. Additionally, we have many folks asking if we can expand the footprint of Southern Iowa Junk Journey, so this fills that need without spreading things out too far for our original weekend events.

Here’s how you can help:

• Please share this opportunity with any vintage or antique dealers, handmade artisans, or junkin’ destinations in your community that have regular or year-round hours.
• Businesses do not have to be a part of the Southern Iowa Junk Journey to be listed on the map.
• The cost to be featured is $50 per business and includes printed promotion through June 2026.
• Signups are open now and the map will be distributed starting at the Spring Southern Iowa Junk Journey, June 13–15, 2025.

The map is made possible thanks to a sponsorship from Ottumwa Radio Group, and our team is hard at work creating a fun, visually engaging piece that shoppers will want to hold onto and reference again and again. There are two attached graphics below that you can share with potential vendors as well.
