Mark Shafer Memory Day

The Carnegie Historical Museum announces a Mark Shafer Memory Day to be held at
the Carnegie Historical Museum. The purpose of the gathering is to share and recognize
Mark Shafer and his role with the Carnegie Historical Museum.

The main event will be taking place on the 3rd floor of the Museum.

The entire museum will be open during the two-hour period to allow those who are attending full access to the display areas.

Refreshments will be provided for those attending.

A short ceremony will begin at 5:00 PM with Herb Shafer, Mark’s brother, speaking to
the personal side of Mark and the love of Jefferson County’s history. Lawrence Eyre,
Interim Director of the Museum will speak to the legacy of the Museum. Dave Neff,
president of the Museum Board will speak to the organization and overall picture of the
Museum.

Those in attendance will be given time to share their memories of Mark with the
gathering.
