The Ottumwa Leadership Academy Class of 2024 is excited to announce its class project: Love Where You Live.
The celebration, taking place on Friday May 10th and Saturday, May 11th, will serve as a way to recognize the 180th anniversary of Ottumwa being the Wapello County seat.

The Friday night portion of the event will feature a 0.325 mile fun run, live music, food trucks, and a beverage garden in Central Park.
There will be opportunities to connect with neighbors and friends to take a walk together, eat together, & celebrate together as a community.

Friday Activities:
5 p.m. – Morgan’s Corner Street Party Kickoff
5:30 p.m. – 0.325 Fun Run/Walk Sign-up
6 p.m. – Fun Run/Walk from Morgan’s Corner to Central Park
6 p.m. – Rushmore Live in Central Park
8:30 p.m. – Fast Henry Live in Central Park

The Saturday portion of the event will feature tours of the Wapello County Courthouse, a historical artifact exhibit, as well as bounce houses, pedal tractor pull, and 4H stem activities, and food trucks in Central Park.
