Beverly Caraccio

Beverly Ann Caraccio, age 53, of Centerville, Iowa, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2018 at the Ottumwa Regional Health Center.

Bev was born August 26, 1965 in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Carl Mac Davis and Barbara Jean Caraccio.  Through her studies, she obtained a GED and later, attended Indian Hills Community College in Centerville.

Bev’s passion was her family, especially her grandchildren.  Nana Bev dedicated much of her life to the well-being of her grandkids.

She was also passionate about recovery.  Bev strived to live a daily life of sobriety through the principles of NA (Narcotics Anonymous).  NA meetings became a part of her lifestyle.

Bev also enjoyed many hobbies, such as drawing, writing poems, and singing.

She is survived by her five children, Jeremy (Danielle Bohn) Caraccio of Centerville, Hallie (Fiancé Dillon Morgan) Kirby of Bloomfield, John Barber Jr. of Centerville, Justin Simmons of Bloomfield, and Joshua Simmons of Centerville; twenty grandchildren, Bayleigh Caraccio, Keegan Stansberry, Brayden Hopkins, Madison Barber, Chance Cook, Logan Caraccio, Reed Vanderheyden, Bryson Schiery, Theia Morgan, Marissa Kirby, Jaiden Hayes, Aliyah Barber, Kynzleigh Barber, Kettner Morgan, Dekkert Morgan, Leland Felkner, Asher Watts, Braelie Cooper, Brielie Cooper, and Aubree Caraccio; as well as one grandchild due in April of 2019-Corbyn Morgan; four siblings, Theresa (Doug) Summers of Centerville, Harold (Kelly) Davis of Centerville, Joe (Tabi) Davis of Urbandale, and Melissa (Kurt) Evans of Altoona; two uncles, Frank (Vickie) Caraccio of Centerville and James “Jimmy” (Karen) Caraccio of Clive; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins, that she also cherished.

Bev was preceded in death by her parents; her grandfather, Tony Caraccio; her grandmother, Anne “Nanny” Caraccio; and an aunt, Lucy Katter.

Funeral Services will be held at 6:00PM, Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville with Pastor Larry Hudson officiating.  Burial will be held at Oakland Cemetery in Centerville at a later date.  A Visitation will take place Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Lange Funeral Home in Centerville, with the family greeting friends from 4:00-6:00PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to the family of Beverly Ann Caraccio, and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home, 1900 South 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
