The Iowa National Guard has broken ground on a new Vehicle Maintenance Shop in Waterloo, marking a significant investment in military readiness and the local community.
The current maintenance facility has served Iowa National Guard Soldiers and equipment for more than 70 years. The new facility will provide modern capabilities and resources to support Soldiers and future missions.
Maj. Gen. Stephen Osborn joined Waterloo community leaders, Iowa National Guard Soldiers and project partners for the groundbreaking ceremony.
The new facility is expected to strengthen the Guard’s ability to maintain equipment and support missions for years to come.
