A woman was arrested after Ottumwa police say she left her infant child alone and unsupervised late at night.
Maudicella Beary, 25, was charged with child endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor.
Court records say that at 12:10 AM on Monday, September 28th, Beary became involved in a verbal and physical altercation with the child’s father in the same room as the sleeping six-month old baby. According to authorities, Beary and the child’s father left the apartment on the 900 block of West Second Street without securing appropriate care for the infant.
Beary was taken into custody and transported to the Wapello County Jail. She is being held without bond pending a hearing with a magistrate judge.
