The leader of a company that stages events for the National Hockey League, FIFA and Major League Baseball says the stadium in Dyersville that will host the “Field of Dreams” game Thursday fits perfectly in the landscape.

Annemarie Roe is president of BaAM Productions. “This year will give us the recipe for future years in how we would just add to that ballpark to create this big event,” Roe said.

Roe’s company has been part making the “Field of Dreams” experience — in her framing — become a dream come true. “Capturing that magic and creating an experience for the fans and the players and the broadcast audience at home,” Roe said during an online news conference organized by Major League Baseball.

Roe said there are thousands of decisions related to the MLB sponsored event, and she shares credit with the people of Dyersville. “They are the people that we go to for help in the conversion of the space,” Roe said. “It has made them the perfect hosts, I think.”

Major League Baseball officials aren’t saying whether the “Field of Dreams” game will become a permanent part of the yearly schedule, but Roe suggested the pieces are present in Dyersville if that happens. A Minor League baseball game between the Iowa Cubs and St. Paul Saints is scheduled at the Field of Dreams stadium tonight. The High School All-American Game will be played in Dyersville Wednesday.
