Mark Wesley Kraft, Sr., 64, a resident of Fairfield, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2026 at his home.
A Celebration of Life for Mark will be held 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Saturday, August 8, 2026 at the VFW 121 E. Broadway Ave., Fairfield, Iowa. Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield is assisting the family.
Mark was born November 24, 1961 in Grant, Nebraska, the son of George and Hannah (McFarland) Kraft. He married Donna DeHart, October 20, 1984 in West Covina, California.
Mark worked in construction. He enjoyed many hobbies such as wood crafting, collecting antique saws and coins, as well as his child like collections of monkey and minions! Mark was also a master chef in the kitchen and loved telling the occasional wild tale.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Donna; children, Cynthia (Justin) Nightingale of Cedar Rapids, Mark (Amanda) Kraft, Jr., Susan Kraft, and Travis Kraft, all of Fairfield; grandchildren, Gabby, Christian, Cooper, Hannah, Dalton, Emma, Elizabeth, Jamie, Ayden, Isaac, Brynn, and Lydia; and his sister, Peggy (Robert) Young of Greeley, Colorado; niece, Vanessa(Josh) Sherlock; great nieces, Paige and Mackenzie Sherlock all of Scottsbluff, Nebraska; nephew, Matthew Johnson of Lincoln, Nebraska.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant son, George.
