Raymond “Orlie” Hemm 69 of Fairfield, formerly of Keosauqua passed away on Sunday March 22, 2026 at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.
In accordance with his wishes his body has been cremated. He was born in Keosauqua on December 20, 1958 to Raymond L and Edith A Nixon Hemm. He graduated from Van Buren community Schools, attended college for TV and radio repair, after college he started working as a material handler at Riverside Plastics in Bonaparte for 30 years before retiring in 2012 due to his health. He was a member of Keosauqua Christian church and loved classic cars, pie, and jellybeans
He is survived by his two sisters, Merian Harris of Keosauqua, Marvena Schachtner of Richland, his two brothers, James Hemm of Keosauqua and Jess Hemm of Richland, a nephew, David (Chelsey) Canaday of Fairfield and two nieces, MaDonna Hall of Cedar Rapids and Stacy Miller of Keosauqua. He was proceeded in death by his parents, a brother, Orville Hemm, several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
