The City of Ottumwa Parks and Recreation Department wants to remind residents reserving park shelters that water and restroom facilities will not be available at City parks until April 15.
This precaution is taken each year to protect plumbing from freezing temperatures that are still possible through mid-April.
Some shelters do not have restroom facilities available, such as the Ottumwa Octagon Shelter, Central Park, and Wildwood Shelter 3.
Park shelters can be reserved through the Parks and Recreation Office at 1302 North Court Street, by phone at (641) 683-0687, or online at www.ottumwa.us.
