Authorities say an Ottumwa woman led police on a chase after failing to pull over, causing an crash.
34-year-old Christina Wagner was charged with eluding, a serious misdemeanor.
On March 11th at 1:18 AM, an officer from the Ottumwa Police Department says he observed Wagner making an improper turn on East Second Street.
Court records say the officer turned on the emergency lights and sirens on his fully marked patrol vehicle but Wagner did not pull over the vehicle she was driving. Wagner allegedly ignored two stop signs, continued through an intersection, and was involved in a motor vehicle accident.
Wagner was arrested and transported to the Wapello County Jail. She was later released after posting a $1,000 bond.
