Sherry Lynn Campbell, 87, of Ottumwa, died at her home on January 22, 2026.
She was born November 17, 1938 in Centerville to Wade and Muril Cox Johnson. She married Kenneth Keith Campbell July 21, 1991.
A 1957 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Sherry had worked as a telephone operator for Northwestern Bell and as a phlebotomist at the Ottumwa Clinic. She was a member of O.B. Nelson Unit #3 American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving is her husband, Kenny; two children, Jerry Joe (Dawnnie) Genochio and Kelly Dean Genochio both of California; three grandchildren, Viola Genochio, Dylan Campbell and Gunner Campbell; a sister, Vikee Byrum of Ottumwa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Edward Wade Genochio and a brother, Terry Johnson.
Her body has been cremated. Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 28th at Reece Funeral Home with Chaplain Doug McAntire officiating. Inurnment will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Her family will be present one hour prior to the service to greet friends.
