The Wapello County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred earlier this week.
On December 17, 2025, Wapello County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a male subject who had been shot at 310 Des Moines St. in Eldon, Iowa.
Upon arrival, Deputies discovered a deceased male, identified as 77-year-old Gary Keith Stevens.
Following an investigation, Deputies arrested 25-year-old Jordan Wade Duncan of Eldon on December 19, 2025, at 10:55 p.m. Duncan has been charged with:
Murder in the 1st Degree
Possession of a Firearm or Offensive Weapon by a Person Subject to a Protective
Order
Duncan is currently being held in the Wapello County Jail with no bond.
