Betty Ann Wright, 89, of Ottumwa, died at 2:25 a.m. April 1, 2025 at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
She was born July 10, 1935 to Edwin Earl and Elsie Evelyn Everet Middleton. Betty married Eugene William Lester Wright on December 18, 1953 and he preceded her in death on May 12, 2007.
A resident of Birmingham, IA most of her life, Betty had worked as a secretary for Jefferson County Hospital and Van Buren School District.
Surviving are her children, Steve Wright of Ottumwa, Patty (Richard) Dietzman of Keosauqua and Doug (Sheila) Wright of Ottumwa; 8 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Middleton; and 2 sisters, Ruth Hintz and Edith Rickertt.
Her body has been cremated.
Private graveside services and inurnment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Birmingham.
