Micheal Lewis, 55, Texas is accused of stalking WNBA superstar Caitlyn Clark appeared before a Marion County Superior Judge.
Lewis is accused of making a series of vulgar, threatening online statements to Clark.
He entered a Not Guilty Plea.
Lewis kept interrupting his first court appearance multiple times.Every time he spoke out of turn, courtroom deputies approached him and told him to sit down and not to interrupt.
Lewis signed court orders agreeing to stay away from Gainbridge Fieldhouse, home arena of the Indiana Fever team,and to have no contact with Clark.
He was also barred from entering Hinkle Fieldhouse, where Clark’s boyfriend, Butler University Assistant basketball coach Conner McCaffery works.
Court Judge Davis entered a plea of not guilty on Lewis’ behalf and ordered him to be held in lieu of $50,000 bondLewis was charged with one count of stalking, accused of engaging in a “Course of conduct involving repeated or continuing harassment of Caitlyn Clark that would cause a reasonable person to feel terrorized.
From Dec. 16, 2024 to Jan. 2, 2025 Lewis used the app X to send a series of messages to Clark.
