Monday, November 11, 2024, is the state and federal holiday of Veterans Day. City trash and recycling collection normally done on Mondays will now be on Tuesday, November 12. All yard waste and bulky item pickup will be done on Thursday, November 14. Call Bridge City Sanitation at 641-682-1700 by 3:00 p.m. the day prior to schedule a pickup.
City offices, facilities, and municipal related closings for Veterans Day are:
· City of Ottumwa departments and offices at City Hall
· Ottumwa Water and Hydro offices
· The Ottumwa, Calvary, and Jewish Cemetery office
· The Ottumwa Police Department Records Desk
· The Ottumwa Public Library
- Ottumwa/Wapello County Landfill
- Ottumwa/Wapello County Recycling Center
- Beach Ottumwa offices will be closed but there will be normal swim hours
