State Farm Agent Shawn McCarty, serving southeast Iowa from his office at 604 W Burlington in Fairfield, along with Ottumwa Radio Group would like to congratulate Cardinal Baseball Player Cayden Courtney, our 104.3 KRKN Athlete of the Week!
The sophomore was named to the South Central Conference First Team. Courtney led the Comets in batting average (.413), hits (38), and slugging percentage (.511). He was also one of the best pitchers on the team by sporting a 1.84 ERA while holding opposing hitters to a .171 batting average.
