An Ottumwa man was arrested after an alleged charge of sexual abuse.
34-year-old Alex Laird was charged with 2nd degree Sexual Abuse, a class B felony.
On Febuary 29, court records say Laird knowingly sexually abused a 5-year-old. According to authorities, there was only one count and no other dates were reported.
Laird is held at the Wapello County Jail. His bond is set at $25,000 and a preliminary hearing is set to June 25.
