Residents across central and eastern Iowa should be prepared for gusty winds this morning. A Wind Advisory is in effect until noon CDT today, affecting the following counties:

Worth, Cerro Gordo, Franklin, Butler, Bremer, Hamilton, Hardin, Grundy, Black Hawk, Story, Marshall, Tama, Polk, Jasper, Poweshiek, Warren, Marion, Mahaska, Monroe, Wapello, and Davis.

Cities in these counties include Greene, Dysart, Carlisle, Iowa Falls, Clarksville, Grinnell, Norwalk, Knoxville, Northwood, Waterloo, Aplington, Bloomfield, Dumont, Webster City, Allison, Mason City, Grundy Center, Reinbeck, Albia, Ottumwa, Gladbrook, Waverly, Clear Lake, Pella, Marshalltown, Des Moines, Wellsburg, Ames, Newton, Conrad, Ackley, Shell Rock, Eldora, Dike, Cedar Falls, Tama, Traer, Toledo, Hampton, Parkersburg, Indianola, Manly, and Oskaloosa.

What to expect:
