Sharon Maria Leedom, 73, of Eddyville passed away March 18, 2026 at Serenity Hospice House in Oskaloosa.
She was born June 28, 1952 in Bloomfield to Kyle and Lois Smith Evans. She married Randy Leedom July 14, 1973.
A 1970 graduate of Davis County High School, Sharon was a media specialist for Great Prairie Education Agency in Ottumwa for 34 years, retiring in 2014.
Sharon enjoyed being outdoors doing yardwork and gardening. She also enjoyed quilting and reading and loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter.
Surviving is her husband of almost 53 years, Randy; their children, Mark Leedom of Ottumwa and Rian (Carolyn) Leedom of Eddyville; granddaughter, Vivianne; sister, Sandy Foster (Edward Reese, Jr) of Bloomfield; and sister-in-law, Karen Evans.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Steven Evans; and brother-in-law, Gary Foster.
Honoring her wishes, Sharon has been cremated. Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
