A serious motorcycle crash in Marion County has claimed the life of one person, according to local authorities.
On March 21st at approximately 7:14 p.m., the Marion County Sheriff’s Office received a call reporting a motorcycle accident in the 1200 block of T17.
When first responders arrived on scene, they located 22-year-old Dylan Adkins of Knoxville, who had sustained serious injuries in the crash. Emergency personnel provided immediate medical care at the scene. Due to the severity of his injuries, Adkins was transported by Mercy Air Ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.
Despite life-saving efforts, Adkins later succumbed to his injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
