Loretta Mae Courtney, 83, of Eldon died March 15, 2026 at the Oskaloosa Care Center.
Surviving is her husband of over 60 years, Jerry; their children, Lori (Dave) Anderson of Columbia, MO and Greg (Gina) Courtney of Agency; grandchildren, Taylor (Blake) Huffman, Kaitlin (Nace) Huffman, D.J. (Jennifer) Huffman, Brooke (Bryan) Norris and Chase (Ashley) Courtney; great grandchildren, Dro, Mason, Blake and one on the way; a brother, Leon Durflinger (Ellie) of Batavia; sisters-in-law, Patty Durflinger and Sally Courtney both of Eldon; brothers-in-law, Dean Watson of Ottumwa and Mike (Shirley) Courtney of Agency; along with close friends, Janice Durflinger, Nancy Lynch and Karen DeWees.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Thomas Edwards; brother, Denny Durflinger; sister, Loreda Watson; infant brother; infant sister; brothers-in-law, John (Jane) Courtney and James Courtney; as well as her dear friends, Patti Durflinger and Maryann Greiner whose friendship meant so much to her throughout the years.
Visitation will be open at 10 a.m. Friday March 20th at Reece Funeral Home with her family present to greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday March 21st at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Clark officiating. Burial will be in Agency Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials may be made to the Cardinal A Club.
