Kevin Eugene Bolin, 68, of rural Drakesville, Iowa passed away on March 25, 2026 at his home. He was born on November 13, 1957 in Bloomfield, Iowa to William Eugene and Margaret Eileen Selman Bolin. He served in the Army from 1978-1980. On December 4, 1982 he married Rosalie Rebagliatti. They later divorced.
Kevin graduated from the Indian Hills Diesel Tech program and worked as a diesel mechanic and automotive mechanic in Cedar Rapids for many years. He moved back to the Drakesville area ten years ago and has stayed busy working out of his shop repairing old trucks, farm equipment, and trailers. He was always tinkering in the garage and could fix anything. He will be missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by two sons, Jason Bolin, John Bolin both of Cedar Rapids; step-daughter, Kristy (Jason) Zueck of St. Louis; step-son, Kevin (Roxanne) Morrison of Cedar Rapids; eight grandchildren, Phillip Rhomberg, Alexis Bolin, Malakai Bolin, Maverick Bolin, McCaine Zimmer, Aderenne Zueck, Grayson Zueck, Cameron Zueck; mother, Eileen Bolin of Drakesville; three brothers, Phillip (Jacqueline) Bolin of Collinsville, Texas, Mark (Sharon) Bolin of Unionville, Iowa, Jeff (Kathy) Bolin of Washington, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene and two brothers, Roger and Michael Bolin.
Kevin’s wish was to be cremated. Burial with private family services will be held at the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Good Samaritan Society Hospice – Ottumwa and may be mailed to: Kevin Bolin Memorial, Wagler Funeral Home, 304 W.
