Karen Kristine Ellis, 56, of Ottumwa, passed away peacefully March 25, 2026 at her home.
She was born January 28, 1970 in Ottumwa to Larry W. and Donna K. Wilson Ellis. Karen was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend.
She is survived by her siblings, Teresa Ellis of Ottumwa, Matt (Mary) Ellis of Fairfield, Mike (Linda) Ellis of Bloomfield and Kevin (Loni) Ellis of Ottumwa. She also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews who lovingly knew her as “Aunt KK”, a title she wore with pride and joy.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Donna and Larry Ellis.
Karen’s kindness, sense of humor, and love for her family will be remembered always. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 29th at Reece Funeral Home. A Rosary and Christian Wake Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 29th with the family present to greet friends until 4 p.m.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 30th at Reece Funeral Home with Chaplain Doug McAntire officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
