Jersey Mike’s Subs is once again serving up more than just great sandwiches — the restaurant chain has kicked off its annual Month of Giving to benefit Special Olympics Iowa.
Throughout the entire month of March, customers visiting any Jersey Mike’s location in Iowa will have the opportunity to make a donation at checkout to support Special Olympics Iowa and its athletes. The campaign builds toward a special statewide event later this month.
The grand finale, known as Jersey Mike’s Day of Giving, will take place on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. From 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., 100 percent of the day’s sales at all 32 Jersey Mike’s locations across Iowa will be donated directly to Special Olympics Iowa. That means every sub, chip, and drink purchased that day will help fund year-round sports training and competition for thousands of Iowa athletes.
The giving campaign has made a major impact in past years. In 2022 alone, $90,000 was raised to support Special Olympics Iowa programs across the state.
Organizers are also inviting Special Olympics Iowa athletes and coaches to take part in the celebration on March 25 by stopping by their local Jersey Mike’s during lunch or dinner hours. Athletes will greet guests and thank customers personally for their support — a powerful reminder of the difference these donations make.
Participating locations include Altoona, Ames, Ankeny, Bettendorf, Cedar Falls, Cedar Rapids (two locations), Clinton, Clive, Coralville (two locations), Council Bluffs, Davenport (two locations), Des Moines (three locations), Dubuque (two locations), Grimes, Indianola, Marion, Mount Pleasant, Muscatine, North Liberty, Ottumwa, Sioux City, Spencer, Spirit Lake, Washington, Waterloo, and West Des Moines.
Iowans are encouraged to stop in, grab a meal, and help make a difference. Every bite on March 25 helps support athletes across the state.
