The Jefferson Street Bridge will reopen to traffic today, March 25, 2026.
A steel plate is being used to span the damaged expansion joint until permanent repairs can be made. Due to engineer recommendations regarding use of a three-quarter inch thick steel plate, we advise motorcyclists not to use the bridge until the full repair has been completed.
Once the repair design is complete and the project has been let, Jefferson Street Bridge will close again for permanent repairs.
