James Cleo Darland, 74, of Ottumwa died at 9:33 a.m. March 25, 2026.
He was born May 11, 1951 in Oskaloosa to Calvin C. and Charlene M. Geuzendamn Darland.
James joined the US Army serving in Vietnam.
He enjoyed, classic cars and motorcycles, putting model cars together and collecting antiques.
Surviving are his children, Tammy (Lance) Silvers of Ottumwa, Sonny Darland (Jessica Hale) of Oskaloosa and Amber Darland of Gulfport, MS; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; siblings, Diana (George) Ortega of Dayton, NV and Dawn Darland of Des Moines.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services and inurnment will be held at Keokuk National Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the family to be designated at a later date.
