Harry Edwin Smith, 83, was last in contact on March 4, 2026. Since then, there has been no confirmed communication, prompting concern for his well-being.
Smith is described as a white male, standing 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing approximately 170 pounds. He has gray hair and blue eyes.
Law enforcement officials have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding his disappearance, but they are urging anyone who may have seen Smith or has information about his whereabouts to come forward.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Des Moines Police Department or the Iowa Missing Person Information Clearinghouse. Tips can also be reported directly to the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation at 515-725-6036.
