The City of Fairfield will begin its spring brush collection on Monday, April 6th, giving residents a chance to clear away sticks and limbs left behind by winter weather.
Brush must be set out by 7:00 a.m. to ensure removal. Residents are asked to follow a few guidelines when preparing their piles. Brush cannot exceed 24 inches in diameter or 10 feet in length, and the pickup will not include leaves, grass clippings, or other yard waste. Piles should be placed neatly at the curb adjacent to the street, must not interfere with traffic, and should not be placed next to poles, fences, or water shut-offs.
Crews will make one pass through residential properties within city limits, so residents are encouraged to have their brush out on time.
Additional brush pickup dates for 2026 are scheduled for July 6th, August 31st, and November 30th.
