Good Samaritan has selected Alicia Adkins as our Regional (IA/NE/FL) Ever Forward Caregiver Champion Award Recipient. The Good Samaritan Ever Forward Award Program aims to lift up employees and volunteers for their exceptional work and for how they live out their lives of servitude, while carrying out the mission of the Good Samaritan. It honors the employees and volunteers who consistently go above and beyond in their work.
Alicia not only serves the Good Samaritan family as a Nursing and Medication Assistant; but Alicia also consistently goes above and beyond in stepping in to assist with other department services. Alicia exercises her gifts of inclusion and compassion for others in making residents know they are safe, appreciated and loved. Her contributions have had a significant, lasting impact across the campus. Alisha stands out as a role model, consistently embodying Good Samaritan’s values of service, courage, humility, stewardship and family at the highest level.
Angela Prevo, Director of Nursing, has worked alongside Alicia at Good Samaritan Ottumwa for over 20 years. Angela describes Alicia as, “Truly one of a kind. She shows up every day ready to do her best.” Angela appreciates Alicia’s “positive attitude, commitment to customer service, and always providing the highest level of care possible. Alicia is the true definition of an exceptional CNA (CMA) that goes far above and beyond for the residents, families and co-workers.”
Alicia has been awarded a prestigious honor, standing out among over 1,000 eligible applicants from three regions: Nebraska, Iowa, and Florida.
Alicia has consistently demonstrated remarkable dedication, hard work, and genuine love for our residents. Her passion for making a difference in their lives is evident in everything she does. Colleagues and residents alike praise her for her unwavering commitment and the positive impact she has on our community.
