Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Jefferson County is offering a free educational program focused on building resilience and well-being through practical self-care strategies.
The one-hour workshop, titled “Self-Care Strategies for Resilient Individuals and Communities,” will take place on February 26th from 4:00 to 5:00 PM at the Fairfield Public Library.
“When you’re facing challenges, it’s extra important to take care of yourself,” said Courtney Burkhalter, County Director. “In this program you’ll explore six strategies to help you recharge and stay grounded.”
Participants will learn about various self-care approaches and have the opportunity to identify which strategies work best for their individual circumstances. The session includes time to develop a personal plan for incorporating these practices into daily routines.
“Practicing self-care can help you feel more balanced, energized and strong every day,” Burkhalter added.
The program is free and open to the public. Registration is not required, making it easy for anyone interested to attend.
