The City of Centerville announces the resignation of Fire Chief Chris Jennings.

Chief Jennings will continue to provide remote administrative support from January 21, 2026 through June 14, 2026.

To ensure continuity of operations and public safety services, on-site leadership and day-to-day operational oversight of Fire and EMS services will be managed by Assistant Fire Chief Don Sherwood and EMS Supervisor Zack Musgrove. Administrative support for the department will be provided through City Hall during the transition period.

The City appreciates Chief Jennings’s service to the community and his assistance in supporting an orderly transition. Fire and EMS operations will continue without interruption, and residents should expect no changes in emergency response services.

Additional information regarding long-term leadership plans for the Fire and EMS Departments will be shared as it becomes available.
