A local man is in custody after police say he threatened a woman and ignored previous warnings to cease contact.
On January 19 at approximately 8:30 p.m., the Knoxville Police Department received a call from a victim requesting assistance. According to police reports, the victim asked authorities to contact a local man to stop contacting her.
Earlier that day, at approximately 3:53 p.m., Knoxville police had contacted 47-year-old Harry Partee and instructed him to cease all communication with the victim. The following morning, on January 20 at approximately 10:22 a.m., police interviewed the victim, who provided multiple voicemails she had received from Partee since her initial report.
Court documents indicate that Partee contacted the victim again on January 20 at 8:30 p.m., allegedly threatening to harm her if she did not pay him money that day.
A warrant was issued for Partee’s arrest, and he is currently being held at the Marion County Jail on a $1,000 cash/surety bond.
Partee is charged with second-degree harassment, classified as a serious misdemeanor. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 30.
