Jerald Dewayne Grade, 71 yrs, went home to be with our heavenly father on January 17, 2026.
Jerry was born to Ward E. Grade, Sr, and Erma K. Bosker in Ottumwa, IA. Jerry loved people. He saw them for who they are and valued them. Jerry loved Harley’s. He loved to sing and write poetry. He loved the outdoors: camping and fishing. He loved spending time with his family. Surviving are his
wife of 32 years, Michele Grade, his children: Misty (Dan) Gillette, Cory Grade, and Rachel Grade, his stepchildren; Jon, Chris, and Jordan Whitlow, and Shannon Jurden . His grandchildren Kobe, Kenadi, Kyra Gillette, Dayton and Carter Grade, and 13 others along with 6 great grandchildren. His siblings, Rocco Wagner, Doug Grade, Ward Grade, Jr, Pat Carson, Mike Carson and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Beverly Sheldon, and 2 brothers: Kenneth Grade, and Edward (Butch) Grade.
Services will be in Ottumwa at a later date.
