Authorities responded to a domestic abuse incident involving a resident who admitted to shoving their partner during a dispute.
On December 18th, around 1:13 AM, the Albia Police Department was dispatched to the 200 block of Washington Ave W in response to a report of domestic abuse. Upon arrival, officers found Carl Robinson, 71, of Albia, who admitted to shoving the victim during an argument.
According to court documents, Robinson and the victim currently reside together. He was subsequently arrested and taken to the Monroe County Jail. Following his detention, Robinson was later released. As of now, no preliminary hearing has been scheduled.
Robinson is facing charges of domestic abuse assault, classified as a first offense simple misdemeanor.
