Patricia Rae Pickens, 86, of Ottumwa died at 6:33 a.m. November 10, 2025 at Vista Woods Care Center.
She was born May 23, 1939 in Ottumwa to Delbert and Maxine DeHart Collins. Patricia married Rev. James E. Pickens August 3, 1958 and he preceded her in death August 17, 2007.
A 1957 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Patricia and her husband owned and operated Christian Lighthouse Bookstore and she drove a school bus.
She was a member of Blakesburg Christian Church and had attended Ottumwa Baptist Temple. Patricia enjoyed board games, crossword puzzles and most of all, spending time with her family.
Surviving are her children, Michael (Jeanne) Pickens of Alamo, TX, Stephen Pickens and David Pickens both of Ottumwa; 9 grandchildren, Matthew, Christian, Elizabeth, Ashley, Alexander, Jennifer, Tatiana, Josiah and Andrew; and 18 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gary Collins.
Memorials may be made to the family to be designated at a later date.
