This fall, youth exhibitors from the 43rd Annual Iowa Governor’s Charity Steer Show came together to showcase the impact of their summer efforts, which extended beyond fundraising to meaningful acts of service. In late October, participants and their families partnered with the Iowa Beef Industry Council (IBIC) and the Iowa Cattlemen’s Association (ICA) for a statewide tour, visiting Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) locations in Des Moines, Iowa City, and Sioux City. They presented checks totaling $569,000 raised during the show and prepared meals for families in need, exemplifying the event’s commitment to compassion and community support.
