A structure fire claimed the life of a Van Buren County woman last week.
The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office says emergency crews responded to the 100 block of Honeymoon Street in Stockport at approximately 6:30 AM on August 29th.
Officials say the body of 44-year-old Leslie Owens was discovered. Her remains will be transported to the State Medical Examiners Office for an autopsy. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The sheriff’s office says monetary donations to the Owens family can be made at State Central Bank in Stockport.
