It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s… YOU, having a blast at the 25th annual Fly Van Buren! This high-flying community favorite is soaring into a new milestone, and you’re invited to celebrate.
Start your morning with the Keosauqua Lions Club’s famous all-you-can-eat Pancake & Sausage Breakfast—just $8 for adults and $4 for kids ages 5–10.
And if you’re a pilot? Breakfast is on us! (No kidding, fly in and eat free!) Rain or shine, the breakfast goes on, so come hungry.
WHAT’S HAPPENING FOR YEAR 25? A WHOLE LOTTA AWESOME:
- Static Aircraft Display: Indian Hills Community College is planning to land one of their aviation training planes (N5439R) right on site! Chat with an instructor, learn about aviation careers, and snap a pic with the plane.
(Additional IHCC team members and free swag may appear—fingers
crossed!). - Air Evac Lifeteam Helicopter: Stop by and check out this real-life emergency bird—unless they are out saving lives, of course!
- Up, Up & Away! Meet hot air balloon pilot Kellie Rocha and explore aviation’s original flying machine—her balloon basket will be on display, and her passion for ballooning is contagious!
- Kid Fun: Every child under 12 gets a coupon for a free small ice cream cone from Misty’s Malt Shop and a free 12 oz. Gatorade from Boyd’s
