NWS: Wednesday’s High to Top 90, More Heat in Forecast

Wednesday marks the start of what could be Iowa’s first prolonged heat wave of the year.

According to the National Weather Service, Wednesday’s high temperature will top 90 for the first time this year. Wednesday night’s forecast shows a low in the 70s with a slight chance of thunderstorms.

Thursday’s high will be in the mid-90s. Friday and Saturday will see the high drop slightly to the mid to high 80s, according to the current forecast, before going back up into the 90s on Monday and Tuesday.
