William “Bill” F. Clarkson Sr., 83, of Fairfield, passed away Monday, May 20, 2024 at the Good Samaritan Society in Ottumwa.
There will be no services held at this time. Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield is assisting the family with arrangements.
Bill was born June 19, 1940 in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, the son of Sam and Vera (Clark) Clarkson. He married Marilyn Keller, June 15, 1963 in Gardner, Massachusetts.
Bill was a carpenter and served as an Ordained Minister for 16 years in Minnesota. He was an avid reader and enjoyed Western movies.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Marilyn; daughters, Shawn (Bobby) Plumley of Fairfield, Wendy (Kevin) Knowles of Surprise, Arizona, and Teri (Ken) Wikre of St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Comstock of Onamia, Minnesota; grandchildren, Duncan, Braden, Lynde, Jilian, B.J., Maribeth, Cami, Tyler, Savannah, Grace, and Emma; great-grandchildren, Athena, Londyn, Caliana, Madelyn, Lucy, and Zeke; and his brother, Bruce Clarkson of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Orren, and son, Pete Clarkson.
