The sixth annual Small Town Christmas will be Saturday, November 18 and Sunday November 19 at Blakesburg Elementary School Cafeteria. Features of special interest include Christmas Tree aisle, Cookie Walk, food, movie and huge Country Store offering crafts, Christmas ornaments, fine selection of Boyd’s Bears and much more for sale at reasonable prices. Serving Saturday night soup supper is 5 to 8 p.m. evening activities ending with  family friendly movie. All you can eat Sunday Buffet served 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Menu includes  pork loin roast, beef and noodles, mashed potatoes, vegetables,beverage, salad and desert bars. Free will donation for Saturday evening Soup Supper and Sunday Buffet. Cookies and Country Store items are priced to sell. All proceeds will go to help fund Loving Shepherd Food Pantry, located at the Blakesburg Methodist Church. It is open second Wednesday and last Saturday of every month. On average  20 to 25 families are served each day the pantry is open. Since beginning in 2011, the facility has served about 120 families.
