RARE PRESENTATION AND OWL HIKE

March 3, 2018 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm

RARE PRESENTATION AND OWL HIKE – MARCH 3

March 3 is birds of prey day at Pioneer Ridge Nature Area. We just booked The RARE Group (Raptor Advocacy Rehabilitation and Education) to bring two live birds (one owl and one hawk) for a one hour presentation beginning at 4:00 PM. After the 4:00 presentation, we will have a fire to roast marshmallows for s’mores. Around 6:00 pm, we will head out on a near full moon owl prowl. Bring a flashlight if you would like. Staff will play owl calls at times throughout the hike to attempt to call in some owls. Wear sturdy shoes that can handle soft trail conditions typical in the early spring. Give Annette a call if you have further questions.
