Firearm Safety with Women Voters of Ottumwa

September 14, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

The League of Women Voters of Ottumwa is sponsoring a study group on firearm safety.  The first of three presentations this Fall is one week away, at 7pm, Thursday, September 14, at the Railroad Clubhouse, next to the Depot in Ottumwa.  Our goal is to have an open minded discussion of Iowa’s recent change in firearms laws, and the impact on public officials and private citizens.  Our speakers are highly qualified, respected leaders from the legal profession, medical arts, law enforcement, business, and shooting sports.
See the attached flyer for more information.   This promises to be a timely, balanced event, bringing the facts about Stand Your Ground, Concealed Carry Permits, and more to area citizens.
The presentation is free and open to the public.   I hope you can make the time for this important event.   Feel free to reply to this email with your questions, or email our League President, Bev Versteegh at [email protected].
Need extra motivation?  We have free cookies, coffee, and tea for you!
