Donna Belle Shumaker, 97, formerly of Ottumwa, died at 7:55 a.m. June 16, 2024 at Osage Beach Rehab and Health Care Center in Osage Beach, MO.
She was born November 13, 1926 in Ottumwa to Clinton and Grace Bell Daniels Dixon. Donna married William C. “Bill” Shumaker on September 14, 1947 and he preceded her in death on March 27, 1995.
A graduate of Ottumwa High School, Donna was a homemaker and had worked for 3 years at John Morrell & Co. as a key punch operator.
She had been a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. Donna enjoyed gardening and sewing.
Surviving are her children, Sharon (Preston) Swafford of Sunrise Beach, MO, Craig (Diane) Shumaker of Glenmoore, PA and Curt (Bette) Shumaker of Great Falls, MT; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters, Elaine Salladay and Nalda Nason.
Graveside services and burial will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 19th at Ottumwa Cemetery with Pastor Chris Childs officiating.
