OPD: Man Shoots Residence to Scare Victims

An Oskaloosa man was charged with felonies after assaulting home owners and damaging the residence according to authorities.

35-year-old Albert Stocker was charged with Class C and Class D felonies for intimidation with a firearm, reckless use of firearm, possession of firearm by domestic assault offender, and assault with firearm.

Early afternoon of May 12, court records say Stocker utilized a hand gun during an assault and fired one round above the door frame of the victims residence in Ottumwa. Police say Stocker has prior domestic convictions making it illegal for him to handle firearms.

Court documents say Stocker has a $15,000 bail bond and is located in the Wapello County Jail.
