William Penn To Hold Easter Egg Hunt

By Kyle Smith, April 18, 2019

William Penn University is gearing up for its annual Easter Egg Hunt.

The annual William Penn University Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday, April 20, at 10:00 a.m. on the front lawn south of Penn Hall. The William Penn University Athletics Department is teaming up with Bank Iowa to sponsor the event. Children of the community are invited and are asked to bring their own Easter basket or bag.

“We are excited to partner with Bank Iowa this year,” said Athletic Operations Graduate Assistant, Sawyer Woodworth. “Bank Iowa has been a wonderful community supporter and we can’t wait to have all the children from the community come out and interact with our student-athletes and university staff!”

The children will be divided into the following age groups: 2 and under, 3–4, 5–7, and 8–10. Children age 4 and under will have the opportunity to find a golden egg containing a special prize. Special guests will include the Easter Bunny and the William Penn University mascot, Willy P.

If poor weather interferes with the event, the hunt will be held on the Penn Activity Center Turf.  For more information, contact Sawyer Woodworth at woodworths@wmpenn.edu or 641-673-1070.
