West Burlington Walmart Evacuated After Threat

The Walmart at 324 West Agency Road in West Burlington was forced to evacuate after an individual made threats Thursday morning.

According to the West Burlington Police, an employee overheard a man claim that he was going to be shooting people. The store was cleared as authorities searched for the suspect.

The man in question is still at large. He has been described as a white male with a heavy build wearing a green tank top. No employee or customer saw a weapon of any kind during the incident.

The investigation is still ongoing. The West Burlington Walmart reopened later Thursday morning.

UPDATE: On Thursday afternoon, the West Burlington Police Department mentioned on their Facebook page that the suspect has been apprehended and the general public is not in danger.
