The Van Buren County Warriors fell to 1A #4 New London Tigers 6-3 in conference play

The first inning saw the Tigers jump out to an early lead. The first inning saw two Tiger hits and RBIs from Tucker Gibbar as well as Carter Allen to give the Tigers a 2-0 lead going to the bottom of the first. In the bottom half of the inning, the Warriors had the answer. The Warriors collected three hits capped off by an Izaak Loeffler RBI single to cut the lead to 2-1 after the first. The Warriors would tie the game in the second when a balk drove in Owen Loeffler to tie the game at 2 after 2 innings. The Tigers struck again in the third inning. The Tigers would tally three-run highlighted by a Josh Catala home run to right, to push the Tigers to a 5-2 lead. The teams would play a scoreless fourth inning despite the Warriors loading the bases in the bottom half of the inning. Both teams would tack on a run each in the fifth and the game would end with the Tigers winning 6-3.

The loss drops the Warriors to 5-6, 3-2 and the win improves the Tigers to 8-0, 6-0

Up next for the Warriors travel to Louisa-Muscatine (a game that will be broadcast on KTWA) and for the Tigers, they travel to take on Alburnett
